HOPE. A desire of some good with an expectation of achieving it. That's a dictionary explanation of the word hope. A wonderful word. HOPE.
I live in hope,
in 24 hour brackets, that each one brings peace and understanding.
I hope each day there is no natural catastrophe, no nuclear holocaust, no tragedy.
I hope many things.
I hope we have no more enviropole ashtrays for Gembrook's streetscape.
I hope for end to injustice, everywhere.
I live in hope.
Without it,
The game is not worth the candle.

That writers group must be inspiring. Your last two blogs are touching and quite special.
Can I add a Biblical reference to hope which means something much more in the Hebrew? Hope is more like an eager confident expectation that sustains a person while they wait patiently for future fulfillment.
eg. Psalm 130:7 O Israel put your hope in the Lord for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
Hope and faith are intimately related with God.
Unfortunately, we don't have this type of hope in the secular world. I really doubt (sadly) you can have any faith in there not being any more enviropoles!
Yes Lesley, you guessed it, those subjects were my writing homework for the last two weeks, last minute rush jobs trying to start new term diligently. Posting it attended to two purposes at once. I hate the enviropoles and the boguns still throw buts on the ground anyway. We had to pay council rates mid Feb and I hate seeing my rates wasted.
Oh, and thanks for the Biblical reference. Most of my hope would come down to faith in God as the means of fulfillment I think. I agree that hope and faith are intimately related with God. And you are right about the enviropoles too.
Hi Carey. Sad to note the passing of Grace. It comes to us all evenually. She was one nice lady.I do enjoy reading about what was once my home town so keep it up, as if you wouldn't. A belated happy birthday. Chas Stewart.
